Cowboy Magic grooming tips for horses

July 10th, 2020

We are big fans of the Cowboy Magic grooming range and have shared here some great tips that will help us get the most from these products…

Cowboy Magic Rosewater Shampoo
Problem: Horse’s coat, mane, and tail are dirty and could smell better too.
Solution: Apply Cowboy Magic Rosewater Shampoo (pictured below) directly onto a wet coat, mane, and tail with a sponge and massage into a rich lather. If you’re looking for a more economical use, dilute the shampoo into a bucket of water before grooming.

It’s a gentle pH balanced formula, great for your own personal use or your canine buddy.

Cowboy Magic Rosewater ShampooCowboy Magic Rosewater Conditioner
Problem: Dry and dull, lifeless coat, mane, and tail.
Solution: Apply Cowboy Magic Rosewater Conditioner to clean, wet hair.

Massage and work it through the full length of the mane and tail, leave in for a few minutes then rinse. Leave a bit of conditioner in the mane and tail for extra conditioning, strengthening, and volume.

Don’t neglect your own hair, use this in conjunction with Rosewater Shampoo for yourself or your dog.

Rosewater Conditioner helps with detangling, and promotes a healthy look and feel to the hair.

Cowboy Magic Green Spot RemoverCowboy Magic Greenspot Remover
Problem: Tough stains on your horse’s coat
Solution: After brushing off excess dirt, apply Cowboy Magic Greenspot Remover directly onto the stained area of your horse’s coat.
Massage in product thoroughly. This spray-on, “shower in a bottle,” can be used to spot treat, or save time.
It may also be used as a quick waterless shampoo when it is too cold for a full bath. Can be wiped off with a damp towel or rinsed.

“Shower in a bottle” is great for people, too! Whether you are camping, fishing, kayaking, spending the day on your boat, or your motorcycle, Greenspot Remover is a must. Simply spray it on and wipe off for a refreshed clean feeling. Also great for dogs who love to roll in the grass, dirt, and manure – perfect stain remover!

Cowboy Magic Detangler and ShineCowboy Magic Concentrated Detangler & Shine
Problem: Horse’s mane and tail are knotted, tangled, and could benefit from some extra shine.
Solution: Apply a pound-sized drop of Cowboy Magic Concentrated Detangler & Shine into the palm of your hands. Start by rubbing hands together and working the product throughout the mane and tail. It instantly removes knots and tangles allowing your pick, comb, or brush to glide right through while providing a luxurious, long-lasting shine. The amount used will vary, given the length and thickness of the mane and tail.

Perfect for all colour-treated hair.

Cowboy Magic Super Body ShineCowboy Magic Super Bodyshine
Problem: You need your horse to shine in the spotlight.
Solution: Spray Cowboy Magic Super Bodyshine directly onto your horse’s coat, mane, and tail (do not spray where saddle is placed) and use a grooming brush to buff out the coat to achieve the ultimate glossy shine! Not only will this finishing spray condition the hair and help to repel show ring dust and dirt, but your horse will catch the attention of all!
When the weather is cold, spray Super Bodyshine on your horse’s coat pre-rugging, it will help to combat abrasive hair and skin rubs. Spraying Super Bodyshine in advance directly to coats, manes and tails, pre-riding provides a barrier to repel mud and burrs to help facilitate a faster and easier clean up.
